Miracle Merchant is a TCG where you take on the life of an apprentice alchemist who must learn to brew potions for the customers who frequent his magical apothecary. Doing so is no small feat as it means combining four different cards to conjure up delicate ingredients for each of your clients.
Much simpler than it may seem to the naked eye, Miracle Merchant's game system is straightforward enough. Essentially, your goal is deal out all four of your decks until you have no cards left. Note: each one is a different color. To this aim, you'll need to go about using up all the other cards for each of your decks to prepare potions. Now, when crafting up these potions you'll need to bare some things in mind, such as: each particular client's preferred ingredients, the total cost of the potion, which ingredients are most abundant, and a slew of other things.
Finishing each game means you'll be leaving all four card decks completely empty, just like in solitaire. This is no easy task. That being said, brewing proper potions is simple enough starting out given that you'll only have a couple of piles of cards for each color. However, towards the end of each match you'll need to muster up all your ingenuity to create the right potion.
All in all, Miracle Merchant is a clever and fun card game. Matches tend to last for about two to five minutes. Plus its visuals (a trademark of games by Arnold Rauers), are a real treat.
